This Project was a live event that took place on the Flagler College campus. An event in which the textile students were to seek out a campus club to design a banner for. They also were asked to create a personal one. Both would be displayed together on campus for students, professors as well as any of the public who were to tour the campus to see.
The project is compiled of so many different artists with different styles. It truly is diverse.
One main thing I wanted to ensure was how the visuals would carry the word diversity. I have been enjoying blurs and felt that something of that would be perfect for this event. Going with a very clean minimal approach with type. Letting the design element carry the rest.
The blending of colors into these tubes represents the different and diverse artists coming together. Mixing and blending to be one in this event.
I created a little mascot for the event as well as name tags for each artist. The name tags include each artist’s name. The club they choose to make a banner for and the title of their banner. With a QR code to scan for anyone to see further work that the artist makes. By taking you to their website, Instagram, or even a fun single-use message.
